Real Progress for Women

Have you given up your career because of your circumstances?

Today, many women are well-educated and talented.
They thrive in different professions across a wide range of industries.
However, after getting married and having children, a lot of them are compelled to give up their
promising careers in order to manage their household and take care of their children.
Our mission is to bring these talented women back into the workforce.

You can make a valuable contribution.

At SI INTERNATIONAL Ltd., we understand the need to take care of many things outside of work.
That’s why our employees enjoy flexible schedule while making great contributions to our company.
They do this in between other work commitments or after they’ve picked up their children from school.
We believe personal circumstances should never prevent a woman from pursuing a fulfilling career.
Join us at SI INTERNATIONAL Ltd. and together let’s make a difference in the world of business.

Founder’s Experiences

My name is Sachiyo, and I was born and raised in a town along the Kujukuri beach coast in Chiba Prefecture. I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs.
My grandmothers were entrepreneurs and I’ve always felt even at a young age that women should strive to be independent.
I went to France after graduating from high school. When I returned to Japan, I worked as an importer/exporter in a manufacturer in Tokyo, and I experienced dealing with people from different countries. I worked in various other companies after landing my first job as an importer/exporter, and everywhere I went, I felt that women generally were not allowed to handle important tasks.
It was disheartening to witness a situation – more than once – when a long-time female employee did not have the opportunity to take care of a major project.
Although new male employee was given the opportunity to work on it.
When I was in my 20s, I worked in the fashion industry as an importer/exporter utilizing my English and French language skills.
I was lucky enough to work with suppliers from 20 countries. On the other hand, there are women who are not given good opportunities in their workplace.
These women need to rely on their husband’s income after getting married and having children.
They may have a part-time job, but unfortunately, it’s not based on their education or work experience and offers a discouragingly low wage.
This kept my momentum going somehow because when I got divorced at 37, I was able to get an exporter job again, thanks to my work experience back in my 20s.
That was when I reinforced to myself that it’s really important for a woman be independent and not have to rely on a man financially.
I’ve made it my commitment to help women really play an active role in business and in the society, and for me this means creating employment opportunities.
Today, SI INTERNATIONAL Ltd. is blessed to have a talented and international team.
I want to do my best support Japanese small and medium-sized business owners for overseas expansion, and I will do so by utilizing the potential and skills of talented women. If you would like to be a part of our company and make a contribution, even if it’s just a few hours a week, please feel free to get in touch. You already have the power to be great.
I just want to help you utilize it to contribute to the society.
